Residents praise Governor Kihika for water projects.

Residents of Kihingo Ward have lauded Governor Susan Kihika’s impressive development record on water projects including construction, rehabilitation, and equipping in the area.

They acknowledged that the area had long been water scarce and that Kihika’s efforts will bring the much-needed relief on the demand for the much-needed commodity.

The residents spoke during the site handover of the Jirani Kioo Water Project to Namba-tech Systems Limited for piping and distribution in Kihingo Ward, Njoro Sub-county.

Lucy Wanjiru, a resident said the projects are a step in the right direction and a chance for residents to access clean water.

Another resident, Francis Njuguna said the working relationship between the governor and the office of the MCA was key in promoting more development in the area

Some of the projects handed over today included Ndeffo-Ruthiru Water Project, Jirani Kioo, and Stoo Mbili Water Project.

Area MCA Simon Kamau lauded the governor’s commitment to work on water projects saying it was evident she was ready to work for the residents.

Present during the handover was County Director for Water Johnson Kamau Njuguna who represented Governor Susan Kihika, the Sub-county ward administrator, and water engineers among other county officials.
