Nakuru County to empower its staff in sub-counties
Nakuru CECM for Public Service, Administration and Training Mwangangi Mwania said his officeis working to improve service delivery by sub-county units.
He said an initiative aimed at creating an avenue for dialogue with employees at the grassroots with his department has kicked off to ensure services re delivered to wananchi.
“Governor Lee Kinyanjui vision is to see to it that people benefit and their livelihoods get uplifted by the services offered by the County Government of Nakuru, thus we have to work as a team to achieve this”, said Mr. Mwania.
He added: “We have to work in team spirit as colleagues. Each employee must understand all programs of the County Government for them to be good ambassadors. And by working this way, we will be augmenting the Governor’s transformational agenda.”
The CECM noted that so much has to be achieved in a context of constrained resources, thereby calling for responsible and prudent use of the available resources.
He started the program in Kuresoi South Sub-County headquarters in Olenguruone where he met all heads of departments as well as the Sub-County and Ward Administrators.
Before arriving in Olenguruone, the CECM for Public Service, Administration and Training Mwangagi Mwania paid Ms Emma Kibaara, the Deputy County Commissioner Kuresoi South a courtesy call.
The two agreed to work closely, coordinating programs of National and County Governments for effective service delivery including projects such as Pyrethrum revival by Nakuru County.
“We want assistance from everybody to actualize these programs that will give people long term benefits”, said Mr. Mwania.
