Kabachia Estate to get new tarmac road
The County Government of Nakuru has handed over the site of the proposed re-tarmacking of a road in Kabachia, Biashara ward, Nakuru East sub-County to the contractor.
The road which is an existing road is set to be upgraded to Bitumen standard.
The project which is a collaboration between the County Government and the Kenya Roads Board will cost Ksh.14 million.
The scope of work will include Base reconstruction, Culverts and drainage works, site clearance and ripping existing pavement to sub-base level.
While handing over the site, Director for Roads, Transport and Public Works, Eng. Symon Kariuki noted that the project is expected to be complete by June 2021, a period of 10 weeks.
He further noted that the contractor will be given a contractual time of 7 days to be on the ground.

He assured the residents that the security lights in the area will be fixed and repaired as soon as possible.
