
National Heroes Council hold public participation in the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan

The County Government of Nakuru in collaboration with the National Heroes Council (NHC) conducted public participation that brought together representation from South Rift counties to gather views on the development of strategic plan 2023-2027.
The Council is mandated to conduct and facilitate civic education and awareness, formulate and implement policies on issues relating to National Heroes
Youth, Sports, Gender, and Social Services Executive Josephine Atieno said that to acknowledge and recognize heroes thus they need to award them accordingly.
Present were Representative from State Department for Culture and Heritage Margaret Njoroge, Deputy Director NHC Heroes Squares, Monuments, and Research Dr David Mbuthia, Deputy County Commissioner Nakuru East, Were Simiyu and Nakuru County Ag. Director Sports, David Kimani.
The Nakuru county Ag. Director David Kimani lauded the collaboration framework for this strategic plan 2023-2027 in recognising our heroes between Nakuru County Government and National Heroes Council.
Dr David said the procedures used to select the Heroes in attendance at the D-Day main workshop were fairly suggested by the areas residents where those Heroes came from. He added that the NHC is determined to deliver its mandate to the members.
