Nakuru County formulates authorized staff establishment for departments
Nakuru County is set to offer services to residents in each department as envisioned in Governor Susan Kihika’s manifesto.
Today, Public Service, Training and Devolution held a session with other departments to formulate authorized staff establishment for each.
Led by the County Executive Committee Member for Public Service, Training and Devolution Ms Roslyne Mungai, the departments participated in the exercise that would enable them to know the optimal number of staff they need and their total number in the County.
The meeting held at Agriculture Training Centre, Soilo brought together the CECMs, COs, Directors and other senior County officials and was graced by the Ag County Secretary Dr Samuel Mwaura.
Dr Mwaura noted that the formulation has come when many Counties are struggling with ghost workers who have overburdened the Public Service through salaries and other liabilities.
He noted that the organograms presented will guide the departments into a seamless working entity that trickles down to service delivery to the citizens.
The meeting validated the organograms presented by various departments and made changes that would go a long way to make it easier for staff to work.
