
Celebrating Vicoty Jemutai, the 400m race national champion

Hundreds of people attended the homecoming of Vicoty Jemutai who had won a 400M race in Rift Valley Primary Schools Sports Association (RVPSSA) held in Narok earlier on. The acting director for sports, David Kimani represented the County at the celebrations.
Vicoty will represent Kenya in the forthcoming East African Championships in Arusha, Tanzania this August.
Speaking during the celebrations at Tagitech primary school in Njoro, David Kimani congratulated Vicoty on behalf of the county leadership and awarded her with sports shoes and other items.
Sports activities being one of the priorities of Governor Susan Kihika’s manifesto, the director stated the importance of having them at the ward level to empower our young people.
Also, present during the event were representatives from the office of the Woman Rep, the office of Njoro MP, area MCA Samuel Tonui and Sports Officer Caroline Nulu.
