
Tiger FC Crowned Champions for Chapa Dimba na Dida Tournament

Tiger FC secured a 2-1 victory over Juakali FC in the Chapa Dimba na Dida Tournament finals at Mau Narok Primary Grounds, organized by Area MCA Hon Cyrus Dida. The champions were honoured with trophies, football jerseys, and balls.
The tournament featured 22 men’s football teams, 2 ladies’ football teams, and 6 men’s volleyball teams. The County Directorate of Sport contributed sports equipment, including uniforms, balls and nets.
The County Chief Officer for Youth, Sports, Talent, and Resource Mobilization, Pastor Alex Maina attended the event, encouraging the youth to embrace sports for socio-economic growth and well-being. He highlighted Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to supporting and nurturing grassroots talent.
Area MCA Hon Cyrus Dida Ndegwa assured continued support for talent exploitation, providing a crucial platform for the youth to realize their potential in sports.
The Njoro Member of Parliament Hon Charity Kathambi applauded both teams that participated in the competition and promised to work closely with the MCA to ensure that young people’s untapped talent is exposed. The sports equipment distributed by the County’s Directorate of Sport will be distributed equally to teams within the ward.
