
NakuruTalanta Hela U19 Clinches Victory in Coach’s Cup.

Nakuru Talanta Hela under-19 team secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Nakuru Kenya Youth Inter-County Sports Association at Kamukunji grounds in the Hassan Sultan Coach’s Cup. Both teams had previously been active participants in various events.
The primary aim of the tournament was to facilitate the formation of a strong team from Nakuru County, capable of representing the county in both the Talanta Hela U-19 and KYISA U23 competitions later this year and next year, respectively.
Manyani FC was awarded the Rausha Kipaji trophy after finishing as runners-up in the U-20 category at the event, which took place at Nakuru High School Grounds. Twomoc FC Girls U-15 r successfully defended their title and were awarded the winner’s trophy.
CEC Atieno commended both teams for their active involvement in sports and encouraged their coaches to continue nurturing young talent in their communities. She reassured them of the department’s steadfast support in developing grassroots talent across the county.
Coach Hassan Sultan lauded the leadership of H.E Governor Susan Kihika in empowering young people through sporting activities and urged the players to be so disciplined enabling them to reach more opportunities in this government.
The County Chief Officer for Youth and Sports Pastor Alex Maina reiterated the commitment of H.E Governor Susan Kihika in supporting sporting events targeting youth across the county.
Present were Sports Officers Caroline Nulu (NTW), Everline Onsongo ( Njoro), Peter Kamau Kas Kas , and Coaches among others.
