Chief Officer Alex Maina meets Creative Industry members

Nakuru County’s Chief Officer for Youth, Sports, Talent and Resource Mobilization Pastor Alex Maina today held an engagement with members of the County Creative Industry at Menengai Social Hall, Bondeni-Nakuru Town East
The discussion highlighted the synergy of art, culture, business, and technology that defines the Creative Industry. The sector contributes significantly to the County’s development through job opportunities for the youth and wealth creation.
In his address, the Chief Officer underscored the significance of embracing inclusivity within every aspect of the creative sphere. He further lauded the representatives’ passionate dedication to the development of the creative industry in Nakuru.
Josephat Kimemia the Director for Youth Affairs urged the Creative Industry members to be more proactive and utilise all available resources to better and nurture talents in Nakuru County since we are blessed with unlimited opportunities.
David Mwangi the Chairman of the Nakuru Tourism Association highlighted ways in which the creative industry can attract more people since it is a tool to generate income for this generation on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and other social platforms.
Mr. Osman Noor on his side emphasized the need to promote talents in Nakuru across all domains thus uplifting the City’s status not only in Kenya but also internationally. This will attract sponsors and investors to consider the young people and put them into their systems.
Muchiri Stanley who is a Member of the Technical Working Group outlined ways to put structures in governance to enable a smooth run of the creative industry activities.
Meso Dennis, a member of the Nakuru MCees Association, urged for smooth cooperation between the County Government and the Creative Industry for the betterment of the great Nakuru City in terms of talent.
