Construction of Kirandit Dispensary, Tinet Ward, to start soon

The Department of Health Services has today handed over the site for construction of the long-awaited Kirandit Dispensary in Tinet Ward, Kuresoi South.
The scope of works includes the construction of the dispensary structure at a cost of Kshs. 2 Million on the one-acre Tinet public utility land. The project is expected to be completed within the next six months.
Once complete, the facility will serve as the link facility for residents of Tinet ward who currently walk for about 6 KM to the nearest facility in Chebaraa.
The coordinator of Health Infrastructural Projects Mr Gerald Maina promised that the Department of Health, under the leadership of H.E. Governor Susan Kihika will operationalize all completed hospital projects across the County.
He added that the Department of Health is keen on completing all pending projects and the ones that have been approved in every financial year to avoid rollover projects.
The office of the area MCA applauded the Governor for her promise to improve access to Health Services in Kuresoi South. They also promised to allocate 2.5 Million from the ward Fund next financial year to help equip and operationalize the facility.
