County committed to supporting and nurturing local sports teams

The directorate of sports on Thursday distributed sanitary, food and non-food items to Nakuru City Queens FC at Afraha Stadium in a bid to continue supporting and nurturing sports teams in the county

The County CECM for Sports Ms Josephine Achieng urged the girls to continue being disciplined, hard-working and committed to building their character. This, she said, will help them attain their targets as they continue playing in Ladies Kenya Premier League.

Nakuru City Queens FC is the only club in the county playing in the Kenya Premier League.

CECM Achieng further highlighted that the administration will continue supporting teams across the county.

She also appreciated the ongoing construction of Afraha Stadium highlighting that the facility will be significant in complimenting existing community fields in the area and county at large once completed.
