Inmates at Nakuru Main Prison celebrate the Correctional Service week

County Executive Committee Member for Youth, Sports, Gender and Social Services Josephine Atieno Achieng graced the Correctional Service Week at Nakuru Main Prison, Celebrating “BEYOND THE LIMITS OF TALENTS.”
Inmates showcased talents in singing, dancing, tag-of-war, sketches, comedy, and acrobatics, adjudicated for their performance.
The CECM conveyed the Governor’s greetings to the prisoners and promised to send Christmas gifts for them. Her emphasis was placed on generating income through content creation for economic growth.
Senior Superintendent of Prisons George Odero Representing the Officer in charge of Nakuru Main Prison appreciated the county government in their effort to collaborate with the administration in enforcing laws and regulations in the county and country at large.
Rolex Ogoye, the Chief Inspector Prisons Regional Welfare Officer lauded the good coordination between the officers and inmates at their various stations across the country.
The partners led by the equity group assured the Nakuru Main Prison of their Christmas gifts at the end-of-the-year party celebrations.
The occasion also saw the presence of Public Relations Officer Emmanuel Omolo, representatives from Equity, Midrift Hurinnet, and Kenya Red Cross among others
