
Keringet High-Altitude Stadium to be in operational at the end of June this year

Construction of the Keringet High-Altitude Stadium in Kuresoi South Sub-county is 95 per cent complete and is expected to be ready by the end of June 2024.
County Executive Committee Member for Youth, Sports, Gender and Social Services Josephine Atieno led the County Assembly Sports Committee headed by Chairman Hon. Alex Bor, on a site visit to the Stadium to assess the progress.
The contractor provided updates on the projects, including the construction of athletes’ hostels, boreholes, changing rooms, a dining room, track and field facilities and a kitchen.
Hon. Alex Bor commended the Department of Youth and Sports for their significant efforts in expediting the stalled project.
Ms. Atieno reaffirmed the commitment of H.E. Governor Susan Kihika to the completion of the Keringet High-Altitude Stadium, which will serve both local and international athletes.
Mutai Keringet ward Mca thanked the governor for her support of the project. Other Mcas present were also happy with the progress of the project.
Village representatives and residents thanked the contractors for employing the area residents to work on the project. The residents were also excited since the youths would get a place to train.
The Keringet High-Altitude Stadium is more than just a sports venue; it represents a beacon of hope and progress for the people of Kuresoi South Sub-County. It will not only lives of local athletes but also catalyze economic growth and community development. As the countdown to its completion continues, the excitement and anticipation surrounding the Keringet High-Altitude Stadium only continue to grow.
