Konrad Adenauer -stiftung to collaborate with Nakuru County in development

Nakuru County has created great relationships with like-minded people who wish to support its agenda and vision in various sectors.

Today, Deputy Governor H.E David Kones accompanied a delegation from a German organisation, Konrad Adenauer -Stiftung to various projects the county is undertaking.

The delegation led by its Vice Chairman Herman Grone toured the Kaptembwa informal settlement at Posta and Rhonda in Nakuru Town West Sub-county, Alms House home for the elderly, Njoro OVC and Kandutura dispensary in Rongai Sub-county.

According to Mr Grone, who is on his first visit to Kenya, his mission is to collaborate with local governments to achieve their health, education and sports goals.

“I look forward to partnering with the County Government to find a solution for the informal settlement and equipping of the hospital in Rongai Sub County. We have established areas of collaboration and will be willing to offer our help,” said Mr Grone.

The Deputy Governor appreciated the visit by the German organisation terming it as an advantage to Nakuru County.

He noted that with such advanced technology in Germany, Nakuru is on the right path to gain from such and many other areas of interest.

The organisation will be working to see the improvement of infrastructure in the said sectors, training of staff and provision of equipment.

Others present were CECM for sports Josephine Achieng, CECM for health Jackline Osoro, Chief Officer for resource mobilization Pastor Alex Maina and Chief Officer for Gender and youth Gladys Kamuren.
