Nakuru Ajiry Digital Hub opportunities benefiting youth with Digital Skills

The administration of the Nakuru County Government is determined to empower young people with digital skills across the county fulfilling H.E. Governor Susan Kihika’s agenda on youth.
The Governor signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 12th August 2023 at Menengai Social Hall with Centum Investment Company PLC with the aim to aid the progression of this successful programme across the county.
The Centum Investment Company PLC via its branch named Nakuru Ajiry Digital Hub in Nakuru County offers the following a number Of courses including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Access Database, Proposal Writing, CV Writing, Email and Internet, Google Products, Financial Literacy, Personal Branding and Marketing.
Since its launch, the hub has held excellent training sessions for three batches comprising 78 cohorts.
In the first batch, 18 out of 23 cohorts managed to finish and graduated with impressive results. In the second batch, the Centre registered 34 youths but only 18 managed to attend the training to the end and successfully did the exams. They are set to graduate this month. Interviews for the third batch were done on 6th November 2023 registering 34 cohorts.
The Chief Officer for Youth and Sports Ms Stellah Mwaura has affirmed the department’s effort to support and empower youth across the county regardless of origin and welcomes all leaders to encourage young people to join the Nakuru Ajiry Digital Hub programs.
