
Nakuru County Government Nurtures Sports Talents with Support for Team Talanta Hela

Under the leadership of H.E Governor Susan Kihika, Nakuru County continues its commitment to nurturing, supporting, and sustaining sports talents. The County Chief Officer for Youth, Talent, and Sports, Pastor Alex Maina, warmly welcomed the Nakuru Boy’s Team that participated in the Talanta Hela 1st Edition 2023 in Nyeri County.
The team, having qualified from the preliminaries, secured a spot in the Nationals Talanta Competition scheduled for December 3, 2023, in Nairobi for the semifinals and finals. The players were recognized for their achievements and awarded certificates of participation.
Pastor Alex Maina commended the team’s management for fostering discipline among the young players, proudly keeping the Nakuru County flag flying high during the competition in Nyeri. He affirmed the department’s unwavering support, aligning with Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to the youth as outlined in her manifesto.
The Head Coaches expressed their gratitude to Governor Susan Kihika for the substantial support provided to the team. They conveyed their optimism and determination to secure victory in the Talanta Hela 1st Edition 2023.
The Sports Officers, including Githaiga Macharia, and Caroline Nulu, and soccer boys coaches Mr. Sachero Peter, Peter Wekesa, Susan Wanjira, Hassan Hussein, Aggrey Meja, and others, were present at the meeting. They expressed confidence in the team’s ability to succeed in the upcoming competition.
The players, appreciative of the warm reception by the Governor, pledged their commitment to hard work with their eyes set on winning the prizes for the Talanta Hela 1st Edition 2023.
