Nakuru County has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative in collaboration with TSConnect Limited, a leading end-to-end software integration company, to develop a state-of-the-art Human Resources Management System (HRMS). This strategic partnership aims to revolutionize administrative efficiency and service delivery within the county through innovative technological solutions.
Under the visionary leadership of H.E. Governor Susan Kihika, the HRMS project is a cornerstone of Nakuru’s governance reforms. It includes digitizing and streamlining employee records, implementing a robust performance evaluation framework, launching an online job application platform, and integrating biometric technology for accurate attendance tracking.
The initiative was propelled forward following a meeting chaired by County Secretary and Head of Public Service, Dr. Samuel Mwaura, along with Roselyn Mungai, Chairperson of the Nakuru County Human Resource Taskforce. During this meeting, they collaborated with TSConnect Limited to outline the key features and benefits of the HRMS tailored for Nakuru County.
Dr. Mwaura highlighted the transformative potential of the HRMS, emphasizing its role in enhancing service delivery through systematic performance appraisals and simplifying the application process for county job positions. Ms Mungai underscored the county’s commitment to leveraging technology for improved governance, stating, “The new HRMS will propel Nakuru towards heightened operational efficiency and transparency.”
This system is poised to significantly improve leave management, real-time attendance monitoring, and comprehensive reporting capabilities, ensuring a more accountable and efficient workforce.
Governor Susan Kihika’s manifesto commitment to efficiency and accountability in county operations is set to be realized through these advancements.
The collaboration with TSConnect Limited signifies Nakuru County’s proactive stance towards digital transformation and service enhancement. This initiative is positioned not only to optimize local governance but also to serve as a model for other counties seeking to harness technology for improved public sector performance.
