Nakuru County team sets off to Meru County for KICOSCA 10th edition

Nakuru County Executive for Youth, Gender, Sports, Social Services and Inclusivity, Josephine Atieno, has flagged off the County Staff team that will participate in the Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) games.
The 10th edition of the annual showpiece will be held between August 20 and 26 in Meru County. A team of men and women from Nakuru County will be showcasing their skills in various categories including Choir (defending champions), pool table, football, volleyball, basketball, tug-of-war (men and women), darts, athletics, and table tennis.
The CECM emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest level of discipline throughout the games and bringing home as many trophies as possible for Nakuru County. She further commended Governor Susan Kihika for ensuring that all the participants’ needs are well taken care of as they represent the County.
The CECM For Trade, Culture, and Cooperatives Stephen Kuria told the team to be so disciplined and focused during the event.
The Chief Officer for Youth and Sports Ms. Stellah Mwaura emphasized the need for teamwork and being each other’s caretaker during the tournament.
The Chief Officer for Agriculture Newton Mwaura showed the belief for the team to excel well for this year’s KICOSCA event. Also gave out reasons to remain vigilant and disciplined.
Also, present at the flagging-off ceremony were COs Samuel Ndegwa, Dr. Michael Cheruiyot, Hon. Kibet Kurgat, and Rosemary Kimani. The Director of Sports, David Kimani was also present.
Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) were also represented by Hon. Isaack Rottok (Menengai West), Nixon Morogo (Solai), Hon. Alox Bor (Kiptororo), and Hon. Wesley Lang’at (Nyota).
