Nakuru County Teams Shine in the 2023 Inter-County Paravolley Tournament

Nakuru County’s Para Volley teams showcased remarkable skills at the 2023 Inter-County Sitting Para volleyball tournament in Kisumu County. Nakuru County teams emerged in second and third position in ladies’ and men’s categories respectively.
Participants in the competition that was organized by Paravolley Kenya were drawn from seven counties including Nakuru, Bungoma, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Vihiga, Laikipia and Siaya.
For the third play-off in the tournament, Nakuru County men faced the Bungoma County team and won three sets against two sets and secured the third position. Siaya County team was crowned as the tournament champions after thrashing Uasin Gishu County with three sets to one in the finals.
Nakuru County ladies’ team played against Bungoma in the finals and narrowly lost with two sets against three.
The top leadership of Paravolley Kenya looks forward to increasing participants from other counties to appreciate and value people living with disabilities (PWDs) in the community.
CEC Josephine Atieno and Chief Officer Pastor Alex Maina praised the players for their disciplined and focused performance by raising the County’s flag high throughout the competition.
