Nakuru Health Department to carry out Data Quality audit

The County Government of Nakuru is set to roll out a data quality audit in the health department aimed at improving service delivery and planning at primary levels.

The move is aimed at ensuring the data reported to the Kenya Health Information System (KHIS) is accurate.

Chief Officer for Public Health Services Alice Abuki today hosted a team from the Ministry of Health Division of Community Health Services led by Jane Koech ahead of their visit to sub-counties.

The team is expected to visit Nakuru Town East, Nakuru Town West, Bahati, Rongai, Molo, and Njoro focusing on households, defaulter tracing, TB, and malaria tools.

During their visit, the team will verify indicators such as MOH 514, 513, 100, 515, and all other data reporting tools at the Community level of care.

According to Abuki, the County will work around modalities to ensure the data quality audit covers the remaining 5 sub-counties.

She added that H.E Governor Susan Kihika is also keen to ensure that the community health volunteers (CHVs) are well equipped with their working kits and enough reporting tools.

She further revealed that after the visit, preliminary reports will be submitted to her office for immediate action.
