Pastor Alex Maina Flags Off Nakuru Cyclists for Road Safety Campaign

County Chief Officer for Youth, Sports and Talent Pastor Alex Maina, flagged off a group of Nakuru County cyclists at the Maasai Market grounds, who will raise awareness about road safety in the Nakuru Central Business District (CBD).
The team will cover thirty-five kilometres, championing road safety while wearing protective gear, including reflectors and helmets.
Pastor Maina lauded the team for their advocacy and vision in promoting road safety in Nakuru County and raising public awareness.
He assured them of Governor H.E. Susan Kihika’s commitment to supporting all sporting disciplines in Nakuru County, aiming to nurture, support and promote talent.
Ms Vero Thuku member of the cyclist, praised the leadership of H.E Governor Susan Kihika for considering them and listening to their calendar of events.
In his further elaborations, the Chief Officer Pastor Alex Maina, urged the cyclist to refocus on other activities that can enable them to grow financially independent and earn decent income generation.
He talked of how they can form saccos that can be a loan or grant guarantee for them to seek funds from other build-up finance institutions in Nakuru and across the country.
He hinted at the plans to hold marathons and Cyclists competitions soon enabling them to extend further networks with other institutions like KCA University.
The Nakuru County Cyclists accommodates members drawn from all the eleven sub-counties that train in different stations and zones.
Pastor Alex Maina wished them all the best during and after the day’s activities and he closed up with a word of prayer, motivating them to believe in Christ and He’s the role model for success.
