Later in the day, the Governor Susan Kihika toured Baharini Well field in Freearea accompanied by the US Amb Meg Whitfield. The well field is ran by NAWASSCO and supplies a total of 12,000 cubic meters of water to Nakuru City on a daily basis. Nawassco has setup a 400kw solar farm at the wellfield which has 8 boreholes.

The company is saving an average of ksh 1.2m per month in energy costs.
