The County Government Of Nakuru Continues To Promote Social Services

The Chief Officer for Gender, Social Services, and Inclusivity, Gladys Kamuren, oversaw the site handover for the proposed construction of two perimeter walls at Alms House in Kivumbini Ward, Nakuru East Sub-county, as well as Dundori Social Hall in Dundori Ward, Bahati Sub-county.
During the event, CO Kamuren pledged full support to the contractor, emphasizing the importance of local labour to empower the youth, in line with H.E Susan Kihika’s plan to engage youth in County projects. She urged the contractor to prioritize hiring local labour, emphasizing its significance in community involvement and development.
Lilian Karanja, the Ward Administrator for Dundori ward, promised to work closely with the contractor to ensure he gets the support he needs. She also requested the local community to help in supervising the construction site.
Hon. Sakwa Neto, the MCA of Kivumbini ward also pledged his full support to the contractor and the Project Management Committee. He also expressed his wish for the construction to be completed within two months.
CO Gladys Kamuren urged the Project Management Committee to be consistently available to support the contractor throughout the project execution. Present at the meeting were representatives from the MCAs, Ward Administrators, Project Management Committees (PMCs), Project Supervisors, and Governor coordinators.
