Nakuru County Government extends last mile water connection in Turi Ward.

Nakuru County Government has commenced equipping, solarising and elevating a 50,000-liter water tank at the Kiambiriria water project and extended Pipe laying at the Valley water project in Turi ward, Molo Sub-County. Upon completion, More than 1,500 residents in these areas will have access to Safe clean drinking water.
Assistant Sub-county water officer Angela Watetu assured residents that quality works will be done for communal benefit, adding that semi-skilled labour will be sourced from within the local Community.
She termed the commencement of the projects as a significant step in having residents get water connection at their doorsteps, further adding the county administration will maximize on utilization of solar energy power to minimize resources incurred from high electricity costs.
Area MCA Hon. John Mwangi acknowledged the ongoing water works in the area, thanking HE. Governor for prioritizing water projects in Nakuru County. He encouraged residents to always turn up in Public participation forums so that their views and inputs on enhanced water infrastructure projects to be factored in.
Mr. James Murage from the Valley area commended the new developments, appreciating the County leadership under HE. Governor Susan Kihika for working together in delivering to residents’ needs. He said, that as area stakeholders, they should sensitize residents on the proper handling of water points for efficiency and long-term sustainability of water projects.
The commencement of the water project clearly illustrates HE Governor Susan Kihika’s determination and commitment to the provision of safe clean drinking water for residents in Nakuru County.
