Nakuru Leveraging on Saccos to Drive Entrepreneurship

The County Government of Nakuru has reiterated its commitment to creating a conducive business environment that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment.
County Cooperatives Chief Officer Kibet Kurgat, at a conference in Naivasha dubbed “Driving Sustainable Growth Through Strategic Investments,” said the County administration under the leadership of H.E Governor Susan Kihika is leveraging on the formulation and implementation of sound economic policies to help attract the investors.
He lauded the participants at the event, saying this has provided a platform to exchange ideas among entrepreneurs and enabled the visibility of local businesses and talents across Nakuru County.
“Today Nakuru entrepreneurs connected with industry leaders, potential partners, and investors of various organizations and companies,” said Kurgat. The forum, organized by Centenary Micro Enterprises Services Ltd, aligns seamlessly with the agenda of Governor Kihika, which focuses on sustainable economic development and strategic investments.
It also featured diverse speakers from various organizations including the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Nabo Capital, Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA), CIC Insurance Company, Creditinfo Kenya, and Impact Africa.
The experts shared invaluable insights into financial inclusion, investment strategies, regulatory landscapes, and technological innovations.
They reiterated that the conference is expected to achieve fruitful collaborations, partnerships, and new business opportunities to drive economic growth within Nakuru County and Kenya at large.
