Introduction

The Office of the County Secretary serves as the central administrative and coordination unit of the County Government. It provides strategic leadership, oversees policy implementation, and ensures efficient service delivery across all county departments. The County Secretary also serves as the Head of Public Service, responsible for overseeing county administration, managing human resources, and ensuring accountability in service delivery. The office facilitates intergovernmental relations, cabinet affairs, legal compliance, and governance, ensuring that policies and decisions are effectively implemented to enhance public service efficiency.

Functions

  • Head of the county public service.
  • Arranging the business, and keeping the minutes, of the county executive committee subject to the directions of the executive committee.
  • Convey the decisions of the county executive committee to the appropriate persons or authorities.
  • Perform any other functions as directed by the county executive committee.
