The Imarisha Barabara Program’s Impact on Naivasha and Gilgil Sub-counties

The Imarisha Barabara program is making significant progress in Naivasha and Gilgil Sub-counties, demonstrating the commitment of H.E. Governor Susan Kihika and her administration to enhancing road infrastructure across Nakuru County.
In Naivasha Sub-county, the Imarisha Barabara program has targeted multiple roads across different wards, thanks to the support from Naivasha Municipality. The areas benefiting from this program include: Lakeview Estate access roads, Governor’s Residence access roads, Enaiposha Girls access road and Ndovu Lane (Lakeview ward) and Mararo, Maryland, Signature, and Panda Estate access roads and Kinungi access road (Naivasha East Ward)
Gilgil Sub-county has also seen significant changes through the Imarisha Barabara program, with several roads receiving much-needed attention: Jogoo-Kiptangwanyi road (Elementaita ward), Kongasis access road (Eburru-Mbaruk ward) and Kambi Somali and Gilgil Town access roads (Gilgil ward).
Grading of Egerton-Ngondu Road (Njoro ward), Rafiki kwa Muliro Access Road and Kinaba – St. Brendan Managu Access Road and Turi Pilot Farm Access(Turi ward), Kapsinendet-Gitango Access Road(Marioshoni ward), Heaving Grading of Karunga Center Access Road, Leveling of Karunga parking and Jogoo-Pipeline Access Road(Kamara ward), Kapsetek-Area 71-Manyatta(Soin ward), Ogilgei-Precious Road Network and Kerma(Mosop ward), Gathondia Village Access Road (Maiella ward) and Janaa Road (Waseges ward)
The Imarisha Barabara program demonstrates the Nakuru County Government’s commitment to infrastructure development. These efforts reflect Governor Susan Kihika’s vision to enhance road networks, ensuring safer, more accessible, and economically vibrant communities.
This initiative is dedicated to enhancing road networks across Naivasha and its surrounding areas, resulting in substantial benefits for the local communities. The grading and gravelling of roads, supported by the Naivasha Municipality, have provided better access, improved safety, and boosted economic activities.
