Introduction
The Department of Water, Energy and Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change is committed to ensuring sustainable resource management, environmental conservation, and climate resilience. Through strategic policies and innovative programs, the department promotes access to clean water, renewable energy, and environmental protection for economic growth and community well-being.
Mandate
- To conserve the environment, provide portable water and adoption of clean, sustainable energy.
- A self-reliant, secure and quality life.
- To provide potable water by sinking boreholes, construction mini dams and laying last mile infrastructure, conserve environment, mainstream adoption of sustainable clean energy through education, awareness and control.
- Improve water, sanitation and sewerage management.
