Introduction

The Department of Trade, Cooperatives, Tourism & Culture is responsible for fostering economic development through trade and industrialization, promoting sustainable tourism, preserving cultural heritage, and strengthening cooperative societies. It plays a vital role in driving entrepreneurship, job creation, and cultural preservation while enhancing the county’s economic potential and global competitiveness.

Mandate

  • To promote, facilitate and regulate an innovative trade and industrial development, dynamic cooperatives and promote tourism and culture for sustainable environment prosperity and socioeconomic.
  • To be a globally competitive trade, industry, Co-operatives and tourism & culture sector for social economic development.
  • To promote, facilitate and regulate a dynamic, innovative trade and industrial development environment for sustainable socio-economic prosperity.
