All set for Nakuru City’s Cultural festival

The much-awaited Nakuru City Cultural festival is finally here.

The festival which is a joint venture between the Nakuru City management and Egerton University will take place from March 20 to March 25 in Nakuru City.

The event will bring together residents from different cultures, organizations, individuals, and artists among others to showcase a blend of cultures and share cultural and related talents while strengthening ties and multi-lateral relationships.

This is in line with H.E Governor Susan Kihika’s Cultural agenda aimed at bringing together communities, broadening views on cultural differences, promote mutual respect and inter-cultural learning through non-formal experiences while promoting cultural diversities among young persons through music and arts.

Speaking when he hosted representatives from Egerton University to finalize the preparations and logistics of the event, the City Administrator Mr Mucheru Chege called upon the residents and members of the business communities to actively participate and experience the beauty of Nakuru County.

“We are on course with the preparation, we encourage all the people and members of the business communities to actively participate and experience the beauty of Nakuru,” said Chege.

The festival will involve a series of activities including music and art performance, cultural shows, fashion shows, business expos, talent shows, and exhibitions among others.

This year’s theme is “Bringing together communities by facilitating and promoting inter-cultural experiences, tolerance, peaceful and harmonious coexistence among the City residents and its environs.”

The theme resonates well with the City’s vision, of “A model City that enhances the quality of life and fosters economic prosperity“
