The renovation of Kiptororo social hall in Kuresoi North Sub-county and Elburgon Social Hall in Molo Sub-county which had stalled for three and 4 years respectively has commenced.
Speaking after handing over the projects to the contractors, Chief Officer for Gender, Social Services, and Inclusivity Gladys Kamuren assured the residents that her office will ensure the timely completion of the renovation. She further urged the contractor to prioritize local labor, thereby empowering the youth in the community.
Governor Susan Kihika is committed to reviving and completing all stalled projects in the County. This falls in line with her campaign promise which in turn helps get communities empowered.
Hon Alex Bor (MCA Kiptororo) promised the residents that he shall continue working with the County Government to bring more projects to the ward. He also requested that the contractor should be given full support from the Project Management Committee.
Simon Thuku, a youth leader from the area, expressed his gratitude towards the County Government of Nakuru for fulfilling their promise. He added that the social hall would be vital to the youth since they will now have an avenue to showcase their talents as well as their cultural prowess. The hall will also keep the youth away from illegal practices such as crime and engaging in alcoholism.
Present were area MCA Hon. Peter Njuguna Mwaura (Elburgon) Project Coordinators, Project Management Committee Members, Coordinators, Administrators and Members of the Clergy.
