East African Safari Classic Rally – Great Opportunity for Sports Tourism for the County

This morning H.E. Deputy Governor David Kones flagged off the second leg of the East African Safari Classic Rally in Nakuru town.
He thanked the organizers for choosing Nakuru County as one of the locations highlighting that it is a great marketing opportunity for the County because as fans across the world follow this sport, our County is being showcased as well.
Hon. Kones added that the event is a great opportunity for sports tourism not only in Nakuru county but also in Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet and Uasin Gishu Counties where the event will happen.
East African Safari Classic Rally Chairman, Joey Ghose said the event has attracted over 30 local and international drivers who will be battling it out in what promises to be the toughest yet most memorable and enjoyable rally in a decade.
This year’s Mini Classic Rally will start in Nakuru and end in Eldoret covering an approximate distance of 1000 km.
