Nakuru County Team leaves for KICOSCA games

Sports CECM Ms Josephine Achieng has officially flagged off the Nakuru County Team for the 9th edition of the Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) annual tournament that will be held in Kisumu County beginning tomorrow, Monday.
The County won 4 trophies in the previous tournament, and the team has promised to bring home more awards this year.
Nakuru team registered the best performance in choir, darts, ajua and set piece where it emerged top. The team was number two in the “own composition” category.
The sports disciplines include ajua, basketball, volleyball men and women, table tennis, badminton, squash, choir, netball, darts, pool table, and men and women tug of war.
The tournament provides County staff with an opportunity to interact and compete in the spirit of ‘friendly rivalry.’ The tournament also builds cohesion and teamwork, helps in talent development, and gives staff an opportunity to benchmark on best devolution practices and cultural diversities.
Other leaders present were the Chief Officer for Gender, Social Services and Inclusion Gladys Kamuren, Sports Director Alice Gekonde, Shabaab Ward MCA David Wathiai and the overall Team Manager Agnes Okasto.
