Nakuru County’s Commitment to Sporting Excellence

Nakuru’s Directorate of Sports stands as a beacon, committed to promoting, supporting, and nurturing talent across the county. Led by the Chief Officer for Youth, Sports, Talent, and Resource Mobilization, Pastor Alex Maina, a team recently convened for a discussion on future events.

Pastor Alex Maina highlighted the importance of collaboration among the Directorate’s staff and underscored the need for effective working relations to expose young people to opportunities, both locally and internationally, paving the way for promising job placements.

To enhance unity between the sporting community and the county government there was an emphasis on the significance of inclusivity and cohesion. The Department’s leadership expressed its commitment to meeting with officials from various sports disciplines at proposed intervals.

“Our goal is to create a pathway for our youth, showcasing their abilities on a global stage. Through teamwork and inclusivity, we can unlock a world of opportunities for the talented individuals in our county,” said the Chief Officer adding that he envisions a future where every young talent is given a platform to shine.
