Rehabilitation of various access roads in Naivasha Sub-county

Road Rehabilitation plays an important role in enabling proper access to Social and Economical benefits within an area.
In efforts by Governor Susan Kihika’s administration to open up several roads within the County, the Department of Infrastructure has today handed over three projects in Naivasha East, Maai Mahiu ward and Hell’s Gate In Naivasha Sub-county.
Infrastructure CECM, Eng Michael Kamau Commissioned the Proposed road maintenance of Munyua-Sisioni Road(4Km) In Naivasha East Ward, Rehabilitation of Kinungu-Muniu Road(2.3Km)in Maai Mahiu ward and Proposed supply, Installation and Testing of one(1) and Ten(10),13M, High Mast flood lights in Naivasha East and Hell’s gate wards respectively.
The projects will be implemented in the selected areas because they provide access to key services which is a pre-requisite for most other development activities.
“We have come to commission a few projects within Naivasha that are in line with the Governor’s manifesto. We expect nothing less than quality works from our contractors and in turn, we assure them that we have every intention to pay them for the works done,” noted CEC Michael Kamau.
He also encouraged MCAs to set aside funds in their Wards, so as to boost the Imarisha Barabara program and make it Flexible to be doing more works like Murraming and Culverts Installation.
Naivasha Sub-county Engineer, Edgar Sirima also inspected the ongoing filling and shaping of the 2.5 km KWS-Longonot cemetery fault line that was destroyed by the heavy rains.
The department is committed to concentrating on areas that have been seriously damaged during this rainy season.
