County drafts healthcare provision blueprint
The County Government of Nakuru is keen on planning its activities to ensure the implementation of projects that can help the County achieve its Health Strategic plan 2018-2022.
County Health Management Team, Sub County Health managers and various partners supporting health are on a 5-day Planning workshop for the year 2021.
The team is expected to develop a zero draft Annual Workplan-AWP on how to use the available resources in the most efficient way to achieve good results.
The plan will help the Department of Health identify the Health needs of Nakuru residents, utilize scarce resources well and prioritize goals and set out how the goals will be achieved.
County Minister for Health, Dr Gichuki Kariuki said that the AWP is a way of tracking performance towards the achievement of strategic goals, identifying gaps and how to bridge them.
The current budget will link financial resources with planned activities to accomplish the county strategic plans and health policy objectives.
The County will allocate resources according to prioritized areas based on programme budgeting.
