County Health Management Teams trained on PMF
Written by Ruth Magak
Nakuru County’s Department of Health Services has sensitized County and Sub-County Health Management Teams on the Financial Regulations that should be adhered to according to the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act.
These regulations subject financial institutions and managers to standard requirements, restrictions, and guidelines that help maintain the financial system’s stability and integrity.
The County Head of the Accounting Unit for Health Ms Mary Wangare noted that Managers are a critical team to be trained on the PFM act of Parliament that provides effective management of public finances by the national and county government.
The team has also been taken through comprehensive disciplinary procedures and proper Grievance Reporting mechanisms by the Human Resource Manager for Health Ms Jackline Kangogo.
The team has benefitted from this sensitization that was integrated during a situation analysis and formulation of Development strategies and priorities for the 3rd County Integrated Development Plan-CIDP (2023-2027).
