The County Executive Committee Member for Education, ICT and e-Government Hon Zipporah Ngugi today flagged off the Family Bank Foundation scholarship for bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Nakuru County.
This year’s scholarship program will benefit 26 bright but vulnerable students drawn from all the sub-counties in the County and allow the beneficiaries to pursue secondary education.
While making her remarks, the CECM issued a congratulatory message from H.E. Governor Susan Kihika to the beneficiaries and thank Family Bank for the program. She noted that the County under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika is grateful to be associated with the program as it supports the needy students in the County to pursue their dreams despite financial constraints.
The Family Bank efforts complement Nakuru County‘s bursaries initiative which is also one of the critical components in Governor Susan Kihika’s administration.
The CECM was accompanied by the Chief Officer (CO) of Education Mr John Koech and the member of the County Assembly (MCA) for Menegai Ward Wilson Mwangi. They reiterated the CECM’s message and congratulated the beneficiaries of the scholarship program.
