Governor Lee keen on PLWDs empowerment

Governor Lee Kinyanjui’s administration has continued the distribution of tools of the trade to Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs) in 4 sub-counties.

A total of 43 welding machines and 3 drilling machines were distributed to groups and individuals in Bahati, Rongai, Nakuru Town East and Nakuru Town West sub-Counties.

Beneficiaries were trained on proper management and use of the machines, where the county will later conduct monitoring and evaluation exercises to show the impact of the program.

The program is set to empower economically the beneficiaries, help them earn decent wealth and increase their sources of income.

In November last year, Governor Kinyanjui launched the distribution of economic empowerment equipment worth Sh27.5 million to 1,740 PLWDs in Nakuru County.
