Mrs Mong’ina assumes PSTD office, promises to streamline HR for service delivery
The County Executive Committee Member for Public Service Training and Devolution, Mrs. Jacqueline Mong’ina Osoro has assumed office with a pledge to streamline the human resource management for effective service delivery.
Mrs. Mong’ina took over from her Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries counterpart Dr. Immaculate Maina, who was in an acting capacity for the last 7 months after career administrator Mr. Mwangangi Mwania was recalled to the national government.
During the brief ceremony in her office, and attended by section heads, the seasoned human resources practitioner said there is a great need to restructure the Enforcement Department, which is a key service enabler across all departments.
She said her department would work closely with the Trade, Public Works and agriculture departments and other stakeholders in addressing challenges related to the move to decongest the Central Business District and enforcement or potato packaging regulations.
Chief Officers Mr Paul Githinji – Public Service Training and Devolution and Ms Ann Njenga – Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assitance outlined ongoing projects such as the modern fire station and construction of offices for sub-County Administrators.
