Nakuru County Participates in Electronic Sports National Competition

Nakuru County eSports players participated in the 3rd edition of the E-League 1 Tour national competitions held at Zetech University in Nairobi.
Among the participants were Penuel Kibet and Ray Thomas, who secured fifth position in the competition. The event aimed to promote youth engagement in social activities through technologically innovative games.
Alex Ouma, the eSports coordinator, commended the players for their discipline and commitment throughout the competition. He pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to identify and nurture untapped talent.
Chief Officer Pastor Alex Maina praised the two Nakuru players for their hard work and contributions to the gaming community. He also pledged to mobilize more resources to enable gamers in the county to participate in additional competitive tournaments.
Pastor Alex emphasized the importance of public awareness to attract more players, thereby increasing the county’s chances of producing more winners. He reiterated the department’s steadfast support for eSports, aligning with the Governor’s Manifesto.
The players appreciated the County Government of Nakuru for supporting them and promised to keep working hard to ensure the County has a mark in the games.
