New Medical Services Chief Officer takes over

Dr John Mwangi Murima has taken over offices as the Chief Officer for Medical Services following his appointment by H.E Governor Susan Kihika on 29th December 2022.
The office was handed over to him by the Acting Chief Officer for Health, Dr Daniel Wainaina who was holding brief following the resignation of his predecessor, Dr Solomon Sirma.
Dr Murima was formerly serving with the Nairobi Metropolitan Services, has previously been a District Medical Officer and a Medical Superintendent in Nakuru, and brings a wealth of experience in Health Systems Management.
He reiterated that he is particularly interested in ensuring Health indicators are improved to achieve quality service outcomes. He noted that he expects teamwork and performance in addressing arising challenges and gaps in the Health sector.
